Security Notice - Statement About the Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in Products That Use MTK Chips

Huawei noticed some media report about a software vulnerability in some Android smartphones and tablets which use MTK chips. By exploiting this vulnerability, a malicious app can obtain the root permission of the device. Huawei immediately launched an investigation and communicated with MTK about this vulnerability.
The investigation is over. Huawei products using the MTK chips do not use the code which has this vulnerability and are therefore not affected.
